Area Rug Consulting

Our services begin with an in-home consultation which on average takes 1-2 hours. 
This gives us the ability to get a better understanding of the style of your home and your particular taste.
To help us pick the right color for your area rug we use a large library of color palms. These color palms are made of the same materials as most of the area rugs today including custom area rugs. 
Based on your particular room we might suggest matching some of the existing colors in your room including the color of your walls, existing art, furniture or accessories.
This service will help us select the right area rug regardless of style or type i.e. custom area rug, contemporary or modern area rug, oriental area rug, tribal or southwest area rug, botanical, floral area rug,  transitional area rug or Tibetan area rug.

Cost: $125.00  

When you move forward with the purchase of an area rug, we will credit the $125.00 fee towards that purchase.

Area Rug Appraisals 

The Rug Goddess offers two types of rug appraisals for our clients; short form and detailed.

Short form area rug appraisals are most often used for insurance needs and include type of rug, knot count and replacement value.

Detailed rug appraisals include origin, type, design, materials, color, size, age, condition, and replacement retail value. These appraisals are often used in wide-variety of needs, including asset management, estate and tax planning, collateral loan agreements, gift tax documentation, and charitable contributions. Each rug is comprehensively described based on our unrivaled experience in the international rug market.

The final legal document is signed personally by Janice Wells, and is accepted throughout the industry and by courts, estate planning professionals, the Internal Revenue Service, and insurance firms.

Often times our clients ask us for help with selecting accessories that accent the room or area rug. In many cases our customers simply don’t have the time to shop all over town looking for these items.
